Describe yourself in three words…

Hardworking, dedicated and flexible.

Tell us about your background…

I started off by doing press releases and PR work for local bands and artists before getting into music journalism. From there, I began sourcing more varied kinds of journalism while keeping a foot in PR and Marketing.

I then did bits of freelance work for various B2B and B2C companies before moving my attention more towards Copy writing, at which I then provided services for Basick Records, OK Records and more recently Civil Defence Ltd.

Tell us about what you do!

My primary job is that of a writer, as it's something I've always loved and had a huge passion for. Outside that, I do a little product marketing and PR work.

Who or what inspires you?

My friends, they're all creative people in some aspect. Some are models, some novelists, some artists, some scriptwriters, actors, musicians; the list goes on; and for me it's inspiring to have so many intelligent and dedicated individuals in my life. It makes me work harder.

What has been your proudest moment so far?

Being able to walk away from the 9-5 grind and do something I loved.

And your greatest project?

I have two. My most recent with Civil Defence because it was so bizarre and so unique that I had to work hard to pull it off, but ultimately I was wiser as a result, and other is the first project I ever took on because it gave me a good foot hold in working as a freelance copy writer, and helped me develop my writing skills and my business acumen.

What do you hope to be doing in five years time?

Ideally, working as a writer and exploring other creative avenues. I love being creative, and am always interested in new endeavours, new projects and new ways of working.

When you aren’t being creative, you are…?

A musician and an actor. Being creative is something that runs straight through me, it's a big part of who I am and I love being able to express myself in some form or another. I'm also working on a script right now, and I'm helping a friend with his TV series.

Anything exciting ongoing or in the pipeline?

I'm chatting to a few different companies at the moment, and if it all works out then I could be very busy over the coming months; which I'm very happy about. All I ever wanted was to be able to make a living out of being creative, so to actually be doing it is a little scary, but very exciting!

Finally, any words of wisdom to other creative people?

Find your niche, think about what you love and what you know and run with that. In doing so, you can't go wrong. As creative people, we're all very lucky to be able to wake up every day knowing that we're putting a little of ourselves out there for the world to see and, to a certain extent, enjoy.
