Brighton graffiti workshops this summer

Wet Paint Productions are hosting several workshops this summer for children of varying ages. Following on from their famed graffiti expose 'The beautiful and the canned', they aim to inspire and educate youngsters with a series of tutored sessions. Don't worry they'll also be providing a class for those of you who have always wanted to try your hand at spray can art, but just never got around to it. Co-founder of Wet Paint Fay MacDonald gives us the low down on what to expect.

"Following various street art projects in and around Brighton over the last 18 months, Wet Paint Productions (the urban art enterprise I co-founded with my hubby, Guy) will be offering 4 aerosol art workshops in a central Brighton location during the w/c 16th August.

We're working with two local, renowned and professional artists, one of whom is an art teacher and both of whom are experienced in hosting workshops and working with children and young adults. Each session will be for a different age group and will be formed of a small number of attendees.

It's a great opportunity for all ages to try something new and creative in a fun but safe environment and I'm hoping that you can help us spread the word! The are designed as intro/taster sessions, so no previous experience necessary.

Maybe you and your friends and family know kids and teenagers that would be interested, or could just pass it on - I'd be really grateful for any support via email, twitter, facebook shares etc.

We're keen to make these a success so we can do more of the same in the future across different communities and groups in the city. This will allow us to offer children of all backgrounds a chance to have a go at something a bit different."
