The Bold and the beautiful...

If you haven't already been to a Bold Souls event, you're missing out this creative cacophony of fashion and craft from Glasgow's new and emerging designers.

Bold Souls pop-up events began in September 2010, established by Chouchou Couture's designer Silvia Pellegrino and the infamous Les Garçons de Glasgow's photoblogger Jonathan Pryce. GarçonJon attends every event and photographs the discerningly-dressed attendees, as well as custom-styled models. With approaching 1000 facebook fans, as as well as a regular following every month, Bold Souls has fastbecome a popular fixture in Glasgow's cultural calendar. It's no wonder this is dubbed the city's fastest-growing fashion event - with the pop-up rotates venues bi-monthly to maintain it's fresh vibe.

This month the Bold Souls have been toying with us a little, having kept the venue secret until today. But we are pleased to announce that the next Bold Souls pop-up fashion event will be held on Saturday 29th January, at the Sub Club, Glasgow, from 1-8pm. Tickets available on the door at £3, or £2 advance.

Featured fashion designers include Rebecca Torres (seen recently as a feature on our very own Creative Boom Scotland), Kureea Besu, Jennie Lööf and of course, Bold Soul's gorgeous host label Chouchou Couture. There will also be a range of vintage from stockists such as Sew Vintage and Eatiboutique. Sponsors include Kopparberg©® fruit cider, Colours modelling agency, make up by Emma Hopkins, and hair styling by Rainbow Room International; so there's something to cater for everyone's taste.

Bold Souls are also previewing previously unseen work; with the Bold Souls pop-up dressing-up box making hand crafted fashion immediately accessible to us lesser mortals. The under-£5 entry fee gives Glasgow’s fashion fiends direct access to designers, and the chance not only to buy unique fashion pieces at tempting prices, but to have them styled there and then by their creators.

And the ethos of Bold Souls? "Our fashion-forward attitude is about being focused on quality design and craftsmanship, whilst still having fun."

Bold Souls is a dynamic and enterprising platform, designed to elevate Glasgow's creative design talent. As such, Bold Souls attracts and promotes photographers, bloggers, journalists, stylists, make-up artists, and not-forgetting our models and fashionistas! Restyling, up-cycling, vintage and bespoke designs are some of their favourite fashion elements. At present, Bold Souls represents a not-for-profit initiative, operating without subsidy, in order to forward their commitment to the local fashion community. So show your support, and see you there on Saturday 29th, where I'll be reviewing the event and getting to meet some of our Creative Boom artisans!
