Surprise! You Are Invited To A Free Exhibition!

"The Surprise! Exhibition" by the very talented local artist Nigel Adams is being held at the Deaf Cat Cafe, 83 High St, Rochester . It is a free exhibition open every day from 6th July and runs until mid August 2010.

Surprise! - in only nine months, the Deaf Cat has become the hub and catalyst (sic) of creativity in Rochester and Medway. People are now saying that there is something major happening in the Medway Art Scene right now, that the old guard are moving aside and there is an upsurge of bright new talent who are headed for the world stage...

Surprise! - before March 2010, Nigel Adams was completely unknown to the public as an artist and had never sold a piece.

Surprise! - The "Hysterical Fabrications" Exhibition at Nucleus Art Centre was an unprecedented event and broke the gallery record for volume of sales with 25 sales. This was followed in June by "Discombobulations" another successful exhibition at Craig Turner Gallery, Maidstone.

Surprise! - Surprise! is his third exhibition since April and was (surprisingly!) organised with less than half a day's notice. Iconic piece "the Law" sold on the first day...

Surprise! - Nigel Adams has never been to Art College and is completely self-taught. His work is original and striking, thought-provoking and defies categorising. He is taking art into new and imaginative areas.

Surprise! - there are new and interesting artists emerging from the Medway Towns right now...!

Come have a cuppa and see for yourself.
