This premiere of ROH2's new commission combines dance, voice and new music to explore the vistas and vision of the English painter, printmaker and satirist William Hogarth (1696-1764).
In this eagerly anticipated new work, Director and Choreographer Will Tuckett brings Hogarth's dark pictorial narratives bang up to date, drawing on material from some of his most celebrated work including - A Rake's Progress, Marriage - A - la mode, A Harlot's Progress, Four Stages of Cruelty and Beer Street and Gin Lane, combining a vivid slice of historical Covent Garden with contemporary urban life.
