The 31st Maidstone River Festival is a fun day for all the family. Throughout the day there will be a raft race, prizes for the best dressed boats, an illuminated boat display and a firework finale. Also music on stages, fairground and family activities in Whatman Park.
Maidstone’s River Festival will be marking the 70th anniversary of Operation Dynamo. Thousands of troops were evacuated from Dunkirk in 1940 by 900 naval and civilian ships, including fishing boats and pleasure crafts.
