Design Initiative have invited Liverpool design agencies to throw open their doors for one day only and invite you in for a sneak peak at their creative space.
The participating agencies work across a range of disciplines: graphics, web, digital content, games and interactive, branding, strategic communications, search engine optimization, PR even magazine publishing!
Collectively this list of 10 top local agencies boasts client lists that span the full breadth of sectors and spreads far and wide geographically, from local cultural and tourism institutions right through to some of the world’s most recognised brands and largest companies.
Between them they have created work to transform town centres (e.g Burscough Bridge – Smiling Wolf), give bands a leg up the music charts (e.g Wombats, Arctic Monkeys – Mercy) attract huge numbers of visitors to museums, theatres and cities in general, generate new content and brand experiences for national institutions (eg BBC- Splinter, Carlsberg - Uniform) and provide strategic communications at an international level (eg Unilever- Uniform).
Design Initiative Project Manager, Elaine Caldwell said: "The open studios idea was first suggested by Error Creative Studio, and we decided to run with it and develop the 'Come In We're Open' project as part of our Liverpool Design Festival as a way of bringing agencies together for one event, and to allow the public to find out about the great graphic, digital and web design being produced here in Liverpool alongside the product, fashion and interior designs to be seen at Design Show.
Design teams in Liverpool are generating creative work and producing significant results for top flight clients, from local cultural venues to global brands, and while this may be common knowledge on the industry media and awards circuit, the Festival is an opportunity to highlight these successes to a much wider audience.“
So if you are a potential client wanting to check out the best local design talent, or a graduate wanting to see how it all works behind the scenes, or even just a curious design aficionado, check out the work places of the great and the good of Liverpool’s design scene and drop in for a chat this Friday 7 October.
