On Friday 28 October, 8pm at the University Theatre, Bath Spa University in Bath, will be a highly-charged dance theatre featuring five outstanding male dancers and choreography by Brazilian Jerwood Award winner, Jean Abreu. 'Inside' explores violence, incarceration, solitude and hope found within prison walls. The audience is drawn into the dancers’ prison space, as this gritty, compelling production reveals surprising tenderness within the stark realities of captivity.
Inside was the dance hit of the 2010 Edinburgh Festival Fringe, with sold out performances, standing ovations and massive critical acclaim. It succeeds in creating a work of grace and beauty from the boredom and frustration of prison life.
