Giving the Eye at Nottingham Contemporary

Choreographer and Dance4 associate artist Nicola Conibere will work with students from the MA framework at Nottingham Trent University this weekend to create a performance and installation at Nottingham Contemporary.

Giving The Eye, which responds to the current exhibition at Nottingham Contemporary by internationally-renowned artists Jack Goldstein and Anne Collier, is free to attend and open Saturday and Sunday March 26 and 27 from 2-5pm.

Conibere is a London-based performance maker whose practice crosses choreography, live art and experimental theatre. She often employs actions that reflect both everyday gestures and appropriated postures from popular culture.

The project is the latest in a series of collaborations between Dance4 and the MA framework at Nottingham Trent University, developed in consultation with Yvonne Trew, programme leader for Masters-level fashion marketing and communication in the university's School of Art and Design.

Jack Goldstein and Anne Collier’s exhibition is open Saturday 10am to 6pm and Sunday 11am to 5pm.
