Get your Geek on in Shrewsbury!

Have you heard about the event that Creative Boom's Shrewsbury editor, Kirsty Burgoine and her friends at Shropgeek are organising? The Theory of (R)Evolution is an exciting web event that will be held on on the 24th September at The Boathouse, Shrewsbury and will showcase some of the most forward thinking ideas in web today.

The evening will consist of three talks by experts within their specialist fields. Dan Catt, a web developer for The Guardian, Creative Boom's very own Katy Cowan and Zach Beauvais, a platform evangelist for Talis.

The history of the internet is one of evolution in technology and revolution in daily life. All three of the speakers have helped change the way we think about the internet and its role in our lives.

Everyone has a geeky side (no matter how well hidden) and we recommend this event for anyone who runs their own web business or has an interested in how web technologies have changed our lives.

So come and have a pint and join us for some of the fittest ideas in true Darwinian spirit in the birthplace of evolutionary thought, Shrewsbury.

Early bird tickets are on sale now for £10 and can be purchased through Eventbrite here: http://shropgeek.eventbrite.com/
