Spring Eco Crafts Market Loretto Gallery Musselburgh
Friday 23rd and Saturday 24th April 10.00 am–5.00 pm
Sunday 25th April 12 noon–4.00 pm
Only a few days to go until Frugal Cool’s pop-up shop of cool green design opens at Loretto Gallery in Musselburgh.
Artworks, crafts and accessories have been arriving all week for the Eco Crafts Market: the cutest needle-felt pups, designer collars, handbags, vintage cake stands, stationery sets, journals, original handmade jewellery, toys and unique artworks made from paper and textiles, found and recycled or inspired by the environment.
Frugal Cool are also delighted to be featuring the new home collection of Musselburgh designer Laura Fleming, including table runners, cushions, pinnies and picture frames, all made from remnants and scraps.
Additionally, there's also brand new designer fashion accessories by Heather Potten: unique collars, scarves and stunning corsages.
Pop in and you'll discover a well-mannered junk shop, where everything is made from found objects or natural materials. Scraps, odd crockery, children’s annuals literally loved to bits, ephemera, 100% wools, buttons and lace - sometime soon, we should make a list of all the stuff we’ve saved from landfill. Maybe that’s the only number that counts (although I guess I should mention that prices start at just £1).
To broaden the eco message, Frugal Cool have joined forces with The Green Gift Company, Edinburgh’s newest BAFTS retailer. Their contemporary fairtrade products sit perfectly alongside Frugal Cool’s local remade designs.
At the first eco market last November, over 700 visitors squeezed in and the most frequent overheard comment was, “I didn’t realised it would be so nice!”. Frugal Cool hope to surprise, inspire and delight once again.
