Free Family Events this Summer at Ferrers Centre for Arts and Crafts

The Ferrers Centre for Arts and Crafts set within the National Forest in North West Leicestershire is offering a series of free events, entertainment and workshops this summer. From willow weaving, family craft sessions and music, the Ferrers Centre promises great FREE days out for all.

Key dates for the diary are:

· Majestic Owls Display Team - Sunday 4th July from 11am until 4pm · The Creation Station - Willow Wizards and Fairies - Saturday 17th July from 1:30pm until 4:30pm · Tom Hare - Willow Workshop - Sunday 25th July from 11am until 4pm · The Creation Station - Papier-Mache Bugs and Beasties - Saturday 7th August from 1:30pm until 4:30pm · The Creation Station - Recycled Flowers - Saturday 21st August from 1:30pm until 4:30pm · Majestic Owls Display Team - Sunday 5th September from 11am until 4pm

Music is provided on selected dates by The Big Buskers and Tamarisk Parents Choir, filling the courtyard with sounds of the summer; full event listings are available to view on www.ferrerscentre.co.uk. The Ferrers Centre boasts craft workshops and studios showcasing high quality handmade items, the venue includes Staunton Stables tearooms offering light lunches and teas; Breadfirst deli bake their own bread and cakes and stock a huge range of local produce and confectionary for all tastes. Hartrup's Boutique offers 'Paint-a-Pot' sessions for all ages and remains open 6 days a week during the summer holidays. The estate of Staunton Harold is not only picturesque but a unique visitor experience, alongside the Ferrers Centre there is Staunton Nurseries garden centre, the National Trust church plus excellent cycle paths and walks around the area including the Ivanhoe Way.

Only 30 minutes drive from Loughborough, Derby and Nottingham the Ferrers Centre offers free parking adjacent to the garden centre. The Ferrers Centre is clearly signposted from the B587 between Melbourne and Lount.
