Edinburgh's one and only pop-up Stitch Lounge returns to Inspace

Edinburgh's one and only 'pop-up' Stitch Lounge will return to Inspace on Saturday 25th February and Sunday 26th February from 10am - 6pm. The Stitch Lounge is an open lab incorporating sewing machines and studio space for people to come together, share knowledge and make things.

By providing a free and relaxed space in which people can experiment with fabric, the pop-up Stitch Lounge takes a cutting edge approach to fostering the sewing community and provides a truly unique chance for both men and women to engage with processes.

Although FREE tickets to participate in this weekend event are now SOLD OUT, we are encouraging and inviting everyone to attend our Catwalk and Cocktails that will close the weekend by showcasing all the clothes made beginning at 6.30pm on Sunday 26 February. This event is FREE and everyone is welcome!

Carrie Maginn, Producer of the Stitch Lounge said, "The Stitch Lounge is a great place for people to come together and find out more about sewing, learn a new skill, experiment and make new friends. After all knitting is SO last year!"

Generous support comes from Singer Sewing Machines and Union Of Genius. The Stitch Lounge is a 48 hour project launched in May 2011, as part of "No Concessions" Fashion season in collaboration with New Media Scotland and Inspace.
