It's been in the pipeline for quite some time and sure enough, the new Creative Boom design will be launching very soon. As part of the new design, we will still be giving you the chance to design web banners for the Edinburgh hub on a regular basis.

The Hidden Door Festival is a multidisciplinary arts festival, bringing together creative talent from all disciplines and backgrounds, showcasing new talent across the arts, and celebrating quality and innovation happening right here in Scotland. Films submissions are required for this year's festival.

Over the course of the Edinburgh International Book Festival (EIBF) this year, I managed to get to a good run of poetry events, from Owen Sheers to Simon Armitage, from the presentation of the Edwin Morgan International Poetry Competition, to the frankly epic Paul Muldoon.

Leona Baker the creator of cult indie label Lady Luck Rules OK is coming to Edinburgh to deliver her Trade Secrets Talk and Jewellery Workshop on Sunday 7th November in the Hannah Zakari Shoppe as part of her UK tour.

AXO is the sister gallery of Axolotl and is an events based space in the heart of Leith. It aims to create a community of artists who will receive a brief every 3 months. Artists will submit work based on the theme set out in the brief and all members will vote for their favourite pieces. The winner will exhibit in AXO's curated exhibition.

DOMINIC WILCOX is an artist, designer, inventor and 'thinkeruper' who works within the territory of the everyday. Everyday objects, environments, buildings, human interaction, no area of normality is out of reach. His exhibition entitled, Variations on Normal, will be at Analogue from 4th September – 2nd October.
