Suffolk PR Agency Scores a Hat-trick
Felixstowe PR agency Pier scooped an impressive three awards in the East Anglian PRide awards 2011, which recognise excellence and achievement in the public relations industry.
Pier was shortlisted for a record 10 awards, more nominations than any other organisation in the region, and the team were not disappointed - picking up two gold accolades and one silver at the ceremony organised by the Chartered Institute of Public Relations.
Held at the impressive Newmarket Racecourse, this is the second year Pier has entered the awards and the team scooped Gold for Corporate and Business Communications (Breathing Buildings) and Not-for Profit (Rainbow Trust, Trust in Fashion) as well as Silver for Best Use of Media Relations (Ken Hom Chinese New Year).
Speaking from the gala dinner, Pier Director, Kate Bowden Smith said: “Pier has had another fantastic year. The team has worked incredibly hard to make the company a success and I’d like to thank them for their enthusiasm and commitment, as well as our clients for their continued support.”
Set up in 2008, Pier offers strategic PR consultancy without the fees of London-based agencies. Already working for businesses across multiple sectors, new clients this year include: leading consumer foods company, Kerry Foods; transport management systems provider, Fargo Systems and leading East Anglian law firm Prettys.
With over 1,000 entries, the CIPR PRide Awards have grown in strength and stature this year; recognising public relations success and achievement throughout the UK.
