P Spowage Art Gallery & Cafe

P Spowage, located at the very top of Mansfield Road, is one of those places where you have to do a double take when walking past it. For most it just seems like another rather lovely little art shop but for the creative amongst the crowd there is quite a bit more beyond the initial look through the window. Not only is there a cafe serving all the mod cons for the budding bohemian, P Spowage also sell an array of high quality art materials to keep you supplied and inspired, perhaps picking up inspiration from the artworks on the wall on your way to the cashier. For those who wish to indulge there is a commission service, but what perhaps impresses most about the off the beaten track centre for creatives are the art lessons on offer. Based on an initial fee and costs per hour/session thereafter, this is one of the few places in town that can offer a real (forgive the crass term) 'all in service' where you can sit, appreciate, discuss and learn about other peoples passions as well as your own. It's all about learning new things and passing on what you have learned, why not have a cuppa whilst doing it?
