Motherland, Homeland: Follow Up

Posted by Matthew Savage in News on Wednesday 3rd March 2010. Tagged with Simon Roberts, Nottingham Trent, Photography, Exhibition, Featured.

After visiting Simon Roberts' Motherland, Homeland exhibition at the Bonington Gallery I can honestly say it is absolutely worth a look if not a good while to absorb theses amazing photographs. They depict Russia in a way that makes it hard not to ponder the story behind each and every photo with some jaw dropping moments, such a my favourite depicting a ship graveyard which almost doesn't look real it's so eerie!  If you go or fail miserably in doing so, check out Simon Roberts' book by the same title which depicts his journey across Russia in a similarly a stunning narrative, well work a flick! (Thanks to Danny for unexpectedly posing for this photo)
