Jill Perry is an illustrator with an amazing talent for drawing and captivating moments in her work that are truly delightful. Working out of her shop based in the Flying Horse Mall in Nottingham, you can observe and appreciate the attention to detail and the sense of craft in her process first hand as she painstakingly strives for perfection in each and every piece. Using gouache as her chosen medium, Jill draws her inspiration from her life's interactions amongst other thingsas described in an extract from her website:

"From the most complex to the simplest of my images, the inspiration comes from anything that has touched my life. It may have been an experience, something seen, read or dreamt. Some works are based on particular events in my life, where memoris hold a rich source of material, others are drawn from traditional folklore, fairytales, myths and legends to name a few."

Take a stroll down the Fyling Horse Mall soon and take a look at Jill's work, if you truly appreciate craft and amazingly detailed work then you should at least stop by and look in the window!
