theEword is a specialist search marketing agency formed in 2006 by managing director Al Mackin and creative director Tom Glass. The company's core service areas are in search engine optimisation (SEO), pay per click (PPC) marketing and commercial website development.

As part of the SEO and PPC campaigns it runs, theEword provides a broad range of search
marketing services, including, but not limited to, SEO link-building, keyword research, optimisation and tracking; pay per click account management, landing page design and usability testing; content research, writing and upload; site development and commercial design – all backed up by in-depth reporting.

The agency was founded on the principle of providing a comprehensive search marketing
solution, from the research and development stages, through to the daily management of accounts and – most importantly of all – rigorous reporting to keep clients fully informed.

Today, the ethos of the company has expanded to encompass three key values: transparency, forward-thinking and commercial mindedness. The appeal of theEword's vision and values is evident in the way the company has grown, from the founders serving a small group of clients just a few years ago to a team of almost 20 dedicated marketers, journalists, designers and developers working for a varied and ever-growing client
base.

The company is now Google AdWords and Microsoft AdExcellence certified, its marketing
team holds qualifications from Google and the Institute of Digital Marketing, its writers are
NCTJ-accredited and managing director Al Mackin has twice been recognised as one of the most influential young businesspeople in the North West (by Crain's Manchester Business and North West Business Insider).

theEword is now based in its own, state-of-the-art offices in Trafford Park and continues to
grow.
